About Us.

Our Story

Born and raised in Hamilton, Kristina and Matt currently reside in Dundas with their two daughters. Kristina was extremely active in team sports but it was in university that Kristina developed a passion and talent for motivating people to exercise. Following her passion, Kristina enrolled at McMaster University where she would earn a Masters in Biology with a focus in Exercise Physiology. She joined a local triathlon club and soon began participating in endurance events including an ironman, adventure races, half ironman races, and a marathon, just to name a few. During that time, Kristina and Matt got married and Matt became interested in endurance sports as well. Matt started competing in numerous endurance running and triathlon events and in 2010, represented Canada in the world duathlon championships in Scotland. Since then, he has completed numerous half-ironman races, marathons, and a full Ironman in Lake Placid. His experience as an endurance athlete sparked an interest in coaching which ultimately lead him to obtain his personal training certification and in turn, private training. Kristina has worked as a personal trainer both privately and at Momentum Fitness for over 15 years. She started a local run club in 2012 and with Matt’s help, it has grown into a thirty-plus member club. Kristina and Matt are passionate about what they do and genuinely care about their clients and their health. They are looking to help as many people as possible achieve their fitness and health goals.
